Popping Up Again!

The days have lengthened, students have finished up a challenging school year, and we’re enjoying emotional reunions with friends and family we haven’t seen in person for over a year! Like everyone, we are also navigating our emergence from quarantine with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Weighing a range of health and safety factors (some specific to having a child with complex medical needs), Rozzie Bound is planning to pop up again this Fall! We’ve been talking to local business owners who are excited about hosting us. We are also developing ideas for fun, themed events with some of our community partners. Please stay tuned for further details in this e-newsletter, on our website, and our Facebook page.

Newsletter Changes

Change is in the air and that includes our newsletter! After a 3-month trial with Shelf Awareness, we have decided to go back to creating our own email newsletter. The main reasons are that the bi-weekly email blast was a bit too frequent for our taste (and yours!) and did not allow us enough creativity or discretion in choosing which books to highlight. However, we will still be utilizing Shelf Awareness for a monthly Pre-Order Email Blast, which will let you know about upcoming titles available for pre-order from Rozzie Bound. We feel this is a valuable service, will not flood your inbox, and gives us more latitude in choosing which books to feature. You should be receiving your first monthly pre-order email on June 30. If you unsubscribed from Shelf Awareness, but would like to receive the monthly Pre-Order email, please email roy@rozziebound.com.

The Music Department - presented by Backline

We’ve been collaborating with locally owned businesses to create virtual shelves with themes related to their enterprise. One example is our new music shelf developed with Backline, a dynamic new platform co-founded by Rozzidents Vinny Fieg and Richard Worsman, who see their new venture as a "Substack for Musicians." Their shelf features a carefully curated selection of books covering a wide range of topics and musical genres - including music history, criticism, and theory. Check out their website (http://backline.space/) to learn more, including how to catch a live show or listen to a concert.
