  • will be back at market with the sweet stuff – Spring & Fall honey in 1 and 2 lb glass jars as well as some ½ lb squeeze jars.  We will also have a few jars of Sun Kissed we will bring along too.  Hope to see you there!

• Hunt Heritage Farm
  • It’s the beginning of the season so we don’t have any produce to bring, But what we do have 
    This week we will have pasture raised pork lard. Pork lard has a bad wrap even thogh it’s not chemically processed or altered to be able to consume or cook with. We harvest the fat from our pigs and render the fat to make cooking oil. Fun fact Olive oil has 77 percent monounsaturated   fatty acids, lard has the most monounsaturated fats at 48 percent. These fats help to lower blood cholesterol levels and maintain healthy cells. Our bodies needs good fats to help absorb  fat-soluble vitamins, A, D, E and K without dietary fats our bodies have a hard time absorbing these vitamins that are important for immunity and general health. Lard has been used for centuries of cooking and it dosent smoke at high temperatures so it’s great for high heat cooking or frying.
