Juneteenth
At the Alinker, we always celebrate diversity, and today, on Juneteenth, we celebrate African American culture specifically - Black Lives Matter.
As Juneteenth marks the end of slavery, slavery should be history, but it still exists, it has just taken on different forms. Speak up and speak out, and don't buy products made by slaves.
Here are some references, one more link, to be aware, learn, educate ourselves, so we don't support "modern slavery" and decolonize ourselves and our systems.
Awareness about who we are and what we support with all our actions, is the essential step to an equal society where racism has no place. We each chose who we want to be to create a world for us and by us all.

"Lois Lea Gueret I think, as you noted, this is universal. As a global society, we are experiencing change at an accelerated rate right now. Coupled with the restrictions and everything else pandemic, it has brought issues to the surface. I have seen this with my family, close friends, and acquaintances. Unfortunately, I have let go of a few relationships this last year and a half as a choice. I gravitate towards creating community and not division.
Lois about the Alinker
On an up note, I want to share my Alinker experience so far. I have had my Alinker for about two months now. I wandered around the website and loved the product, but there was another reason why I knew I had to have the Alinker. I have mobility issues from an injury and there are no options for me to correct them. As a result over the years, I have gotten less and less active and put on weight. I now find my numbers showing the side effects of this. By numbers, I mean my BP and Blood sugars. I was inspired by the Alinker and thought maybe this will be what I need.
However, it was the company behind the product and the policies that motivated me to go from I want this too I own one. I often tear up when I talk of this but over the two months, I have gone from walking 260 steps a day to 1500 steps a day. I am not done yet, by the end of the year it would be as high as 4000 steps a day. I am taking it slow and gradual so that I am strengthening instead of injuring.
Before this, I only got to move like this when I was dreaming at night. It means everything to me to be able to get my heart rate up, and my lungs working again. I can not imagine anyone who has not faced these issues understanding, but I feel like I did when I had my first bike as a child and felt my independence. Thank you.
Let the people who have had my experience influence you, so that those who are having ongoing issues can find peace and joy again. My ordering and delivery were seamless. Set up was easy. Learning the new lifestyle it has brought with it has been exciting!
