Sunday, June 20, 2021

Hi <<First Name>>, welcome to St. Anne's on this Sunday morning.  We hope this will help you as you worship with us this morning.

At present we see only puzzling reflections in a mirror, but one day we shall see face to face. My knowledge know is partial then it will be whole like God’s knowledge of me.

St. Michael's Pantry - St, Michael’s Necessity Pantry is now serving more clients than ever before. Using referrals from several area food banks, including the American Legion, and in cooperation with Comprehensive Mental Health Services, the pantry assisted 102 households in June comprised of 308 individuals. While the pantry has some assistance from a Kansas City personal care charity and some modest foundation grants, most of the items provided to clients continue to be through the generosity of individuals and local churches.  The most needed items continue to be Men’s and Women’s stick deodorant and body wash. In addition to donations, the pantry is looking for volunteers who would be willing to substitute occasionally for the existing volunteers on vacation or with other conflicts. The Pantry is open on the first and third Wednesday from 10:00AM until 2:00PM. For more information or to discuss volunteering see Ed Freeman. Donations can be left in the baskets in the Narthex.

Garden of Eatin’ – now is the time to choose a bed from the garden to plant.  There is a map on the bulletin board next to the utility closet. A couple of beds are full of berry bushes or have already been reserved by someone, but most are open for the taking. Choose a bed not spoken for and will it with future delishiness.  Put your name on the map to show which bed you are cultivating.  A few random thing have been planted, if you want that bed just help whatever is there flourish.  Just check the map to be sure the bed hasn’t been spoken for by a specific person.

Contact information -   If you still have not included your information for the upcoming church directory, please click on this link  Church Directory form and complete the information so you can be included.  Don't want to be included?  click the link and let us know so we don't bug you.  There is even a way to attach a picture to include in the directory.  If  you need help email Laura laura@saintannesls.org..

Plastic Bags – There is still a bin outside to collect plastic grocery bags.  If you would like to learn how to make "Plarn" (plastic yarn), which is used to make mats for the homeless, come to church a little early and Collette or Christina would be happy to teach you.  We have a lot of bags to weave.  Any help would be appreciated.

Giving Sunday There is a collection bin for donations to Hillcrest & St. Michael’s pantry by the front door  You can swing by and drop off your donations and the bin will be checked weekly.  If you have donations to make and need someone to come by, Toni (816.289.9820) would be happy to swing by and make a pick-up.
