6-Notes on Sunday


Hi there!

Welcome back to 6 Notes on Sunday! If you're new, this is our weekly newsletter that connects us to each other and gives out some good frisbee and MPFPT information!

This Week's Workout Sounds -- 

Here's a solid 4 hours of workout playlist!! We know our warm up sometimes takes a while... but will you make it through the whole playlist? 

New Community Info -- 

If you're new to Peak Plus or Team Plus, make sure that you're in our Slack and our Facebook page! If you need help finding those, let either Tim Morrill know or email morrillperformance@gmail.com or ari@mpfpt.com. We'll get you in there ASAP!

A member of the MPFPT staff, Ari Nelson, is also a founder of an amazing organization called Time for the Ultimate Talk. They focus on challenging stigma surrounding mental health and trauma in the ultimate community, along with educating and having discussions and facilitated spaces surrounding these topics. Their newest session was just posted - if you're interested in being a part of a process group discussing what return to play means, check out the information here

This Week's Goals:

This segment of 6 Notes will introduce five goals to you, weekly. You can focus only on one, you could focus on all five, or you can mix and match each week to fit your needs and desires. These could also just be little things you keep in your back pocket as you navigate your world this week. Your choice! 

  1. Go throw for 30 minutes each day
  2. Send a letter to someone who you haven't talked to in a while 
  3. Bake your favorite dessert and eat it all by yourself! 
  4. Text/slack/email any questions you have to someone on the MPFPT staff 
  5. Text your mom you love her :) 


NEWS in Ultimate Land 

Boy oh boy do we have some fun stuff for this segment this week.

First, the first USA CLUB tournament has come and gone! Ultimate is OFFICIALLY BACK!! Check out the recap of Richmond Cup here

Second, the AUDL has been in full swing in the US, and has had some exciting upsets and fun match ups during the first couple of weeks. A good recap of the first two weeks of games can be found here

Finally, the EUF has released their schedule for 2022 events, which can be found here

HYPE HYPE HYPE --

The #HYPE of the week! We're going to include lifting videos, highlight videos, Callahan videos, and more! 

A team that's done it all and back again, and has been a part of the MPFPT Family for a long time, Brute Squad has one National Championship after National Championship and continues to bring the fire. Check out their 2019 Highlights, and get ready for whatever they bring this Club season!!
