Dear Families:

This is my last Sunday newsletter of the current school year. It has been my pleasure to serve you this year. 

Thank you for your support and your patience during this unprecedented year. Thank you for sharing your stories, stepping up and creating a sense of normalcy for all students, for your honest feedback, for your kind emails to staff, for sharing your homes with us every day, for allowing us to be creative and learning from our mistakes. This was a challenging year, but it was full of smiles and laughter because of your support!  Also,  students do have Summer Assignments.  All assignments will be located HERE on our website by the end of the week.

• Amazon Wish List for Students Living in Shelters
  LMC has an opportunity to support NYC families in need, as part of a community initiative with other schools in District 2. An Amazon Wish List has been created with basic necessities (toothpaste, deodorant, diapers, formula, etc), as well as some fun crafts for the children. We are asking families to purchase items from the list; they will be delivered directly to the shelter in need. We know that many of you will welcome this opportunity to help, so please go to AMAZON WISH LIST and buy an item or two.

• Mount Sinai Health System Now Vaccinating Children 12-15.  You may make an appointment for yourself or your child here. Children under 18 require permission from a parent or guardian, and the child must have reached their 12th birthday by the date of the vaccination. If you prefer to make an appointment by phone, please call (646) 605-5764. You can also check the New York State, New York City, New Jersey, or Connecticut websites for other locations that offer appointments or walk-in vaccination. Be sure that the site you choose is offering Pfizer-BioNTech as other vaccines are not yet authorized for use in people under 18.
