The Chamberlain Highbury Trust
June Newsletter

We had such a fantastic day at Highbury last weekend, it was so lovely to reconnect with so many organisations and individuals and grow our Highbury Family and network. Thank you to everyone who shared, played and soaked up information and sunshine with us!

Open Days

We are proudly 'Opening the Doors' from September 2021 for everyone to come and explore Highbury. Get an insight into its rich history and be part of its emerging future...

In 2018 Historic England placed Highbury on its ‘Heritage at Risk Register’. The Chamberlain Highbury Trust are putting on this programme of events to bring the people of Birmingham back into the heart of Highbury.

We have such a wealth of social and political history to share and we provide an inspiring venue in which to debate the future of our city.

Set within a 100 acre, bio-diverse, urban park, Highbury's fine Venetian Gothic-style architecture and its rich interior detailing of naturalistic designs, is well worth seeing.

You can explore the house alongside a knowledgeable and thought-provoking tour guide. Then explore the gardens and grounds of Highbury.

First Monday of every month starting on September 6th BOOK NOW!

Volunteer this Sunday
Come along and explore Highbury and its history, while getting rid of invasive species and clearing the way for new planting. Meet Lucy at 10am outside the front door of Highbury and we will split into groups and tackle the Himalayan Balsam and nettle along the paths and into the wetlands!

Highbury taking it's place in Civic Birmingham.

While the Council House is closed for a refurbishment Highbury is stepping up its role in housing Council staff and the Lord Mayor of Birmingham. We are really looking forward to working alongside them to open Highbury and share the wonderful space with more people.

Thank you for your continued support, we hope you are enjoying spending time at Highbury, stay safe and look after each other.
