hISTORY CORNER |
Now on display in the History Corner of the Gathering Place!
Photos showing and explaining the removal of the steeple in 1968. A crane removed the old steeple, which was found to have lots of rotten wood after years of exposure. It was placed on the vacant land in front of the Chapel. It remained there until Oct. 1969 while work was done to fashion a new one, using the old pieces as a pattern. An interesting part of the history of our church building, which was constructed in 1858.
Make sure to step in the Gathering Place! Display was created by our church historian, Harriet Comer. Thank you Mrs. Harriet!

grace abounds seminar |
You are invited to a timely seminar:
Grace Abounds! A Biblical Response to Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project
Where: Strong Tower Fellowship, 2193 Vineville Ave, Macon, GA
When: Thursday, June 24, 2021
Time: 6:30pm
Refreshments will follow.
As the voices for division, guilt and blame clamor for hearing and action, how is the church to respond? While being inundated by a retelling of history through the lens of Critical Race Theory and the recent 1619 Project, narratives which focus on the sins of humanity, may the church be refreshed in redemptive history, weighing worldly philosophies by Christ's triumph over sin. Grace abounds
