Since 1996, 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art has remained committed to  championing the voices of Asian Australian artists, as well as the cultural dialogues between Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. As the only small-to-medium arts organisation with Climate Active certification in NSW, we are leaders in climate responsibility. Over the past year, in between lockdown and the temporary renovations to our Haymarket gallery, our team is proud to have delivered programs and events for the community, which resulted in:

  • 74,600 people visiting 4A exhibitions and public programs.
  • 102 artists, writers and arts workers supported.
  • 125 artworks presented online and offsite.
  • Nine exhibitions and public programs presented.
  • 57% increase in our social media engagement.
Help us continue our sector-leading work by donating to our EOFY campaign! Your support will enable us to future-proof our Haymarket gallery and maintain our climate-active priorities. Thanks to the City of Sydney, we plan to move back into a climate-controlled and fully-restored gallery in 2022. To improve our gallery space, 4A plans to: invest in professional gallery lighting systems, install better paint and chemical disposal facilities, and introduce a new lighting system to allow us to continue staging world-class exhibitions and reduce our energy use by 70% annually. Wow, right? But we cannot do what we do at 4A without the support of friends and supporters!

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductibleThe number '8' is considered a lucky number in Chinese culture. If you donate with an '8' amount, good luck will come your way :)

Support 4A today and help shape a better future for contemporary Asian art and culture.
