OSHA-30 Construction Safety Training
Wed, July 21 - Fri, July 30 | 9am- 4pm
The next sesssion of the popular Construction Safety Class at Skyland Workforce Center will start on Wednesday, July 21. The class covers OSHA-30, Flagger and CPR/First Aid. The class will start on Wednesday, July 21 and go until Friday July 30, from 9am – 4pm each day. Students must be able to attend each day with no absences. Students must be DC residents, with a high school diploma or GED and a resume on file at the Workforce Center. If you are interested, you can sign up now. Construction Management Training Program
Mid-July to Mid-September
PROGRAM DETAILS
This unique program offers an opportunity for minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals to launch their careers in the construction industry. Trainees will have the opportunity to test for certifications in OSHA 10, Flagging, Nuclear Gauge Safety, Concrete Field Tech Level 1, and Soils and Aggregate Compaction Tech. This 8-week program equips job seekers with new skills that are in demand, creating employment and strengthening the community. To ensure a safe program for all, we will be following all D.C. COVID-19 guidelines.
SEEKING CANIDATES WHO :
Have a high school diploma, GED, or has passed the CASAS or TABE test at the 10th grade level or higher
Can pass a drug test screening within 30-days of acceptance into the program
Can commit to participating in a 8- week training program (stipend provided)
Must be independently capable of getting to the training and testing sites in Southwest DC and various locations in Maryland and Virginia
