Deputy Prime Minister says if COVID-19 case numbers don't drop, a curfew will be instated 
Members of the Temporary Committee for Monitoring the COVID-19 Control Law met on Monday, where Deputy Prime Minister S. Amarsaikhan reported that the coverage of the second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine is at 90 percent of the target group, which is 60 percent of the adult population. There are 1,696,000 people who have completed the 14-day period of efficacy after being fully vaccinated. 
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the government will impose strict lockdown measures if the surge in cases continues and if the participation in prevention measures of the public and entities does not increase. In addition, he said that the government must also address hospital capacity being overloaded, noting that 16,000 doctors and medical staff are working to fight the pandemic. 
In the past 24 hours, 2,231 people have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases nationwide to 98,050, and twelve more deaths have been recorded.

Mongolian Stock Exchange data

On June 21, 699,764 shares of 35 companies (valued at 308 million MNT) were traded, with 18 companies seeing a share price increase. Ard Daatgal JSC (AIC + 4.89 percent) and State Department Store JSC (UID + 4.83 percent) had the highest increases, while Wholesale JSC (BHL -9.80 percent) and Aduun Chuluun JSC (ADL -9.33 percent) had the highest decreases. 
The National Privatization Fund traded 82,750 shares (valued at 16.7 million MNT) in the private market. The Top 20 index increased by 1.09 percent, reaching 32,257.23 points. Total market capitalization reached 3.65 trillion MNT.


NSO and RE/MAX Mongolia sign a cooperation agreement

The National Statistics Office (NSO) and RE/MAX Mongolia signed a cooperation agreement on Monday. Under the agreement, RE/MAX Mongolia will provide data to be used to calculate the housing price index and will work with the NSO to process, calculate, and disseminate accurate housing price data and provide precise market information to consumers. 
The National Statistics Office publishes the Housing Price Index quarterly. The NSO says that cooperation with RE/MAX Mongolia will make data collection more efficient, increase the sample size, increase the number of indicators, and improve the quality of reporting.
