Clothing Coventry facilitate clothes rails in the community where people in need can collect clothes, as well as clothing to charities supporting homeless people, refugees, or those struggling. They desperately need men's casual wear and summer clothing. Contact Katie to arrange a donation.

The Mayor of the West Midlands is hosting a free event for local leaders, which will provide insights into and answer any concerns about the local COVID-19 vaccination programme rollout. Join on Thursday 1st July 5pm here.
Conversations with young adults
 
7 Conversations, from the Evangelical Alliance, is a suite of interactive, integrated resources for leaders seeking to understand young adults and bring them into a rock-solid relationship with Jesus. Each conversation is connected to a room of a house, illustrating the journey. More here

Visit Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer site
 
The Eternal Wall are offering the opportunity to visit the land where the prayer wall will be built! It's a 45 minute walk each way over uneven, muddy ground. Dates are Wednesday 14th July and Saturday 14th August. To join, email Helen

National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast
 
This year, the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast will take place online and will be livestreamed from 8:00-8:45am on Friday 25 June. Main speaker will be Rev Prof NT Wright , discussing the theme of ‘Life Beyond Covid: A Renewed Hope’. Click here for more information or to register. 
14 day prayer challenge for peace
 
Discovering Prayer is an online course to inspire you to deepen your relationship with God. It's for people new to prayer to explore it, and also for seasoned pray-ers to try out some new ways to pray. This brand new, free, interactive, experiential course launches on Monday 28th June.

Nuns and monks from Anglican, Catholic, Methodist and Orthodox traditions will share their learning. Participants will use short Bible-based guided meditations and a daily challenge. It's for everyone. More information here

Dr Krish Kandiah will be hosting a launch event for The Hospitality Pledge online on Monday 28th June 8pm. It will explore how each of us can help asylum seekers and refugees with our voices and our homes.

Walk in jabs

Only 62% of Coventry adults have had any COVID-19 vaccine yet. Booking's really easy, but there are no-book sessions available too! Just walk in to Coventry Transport Museum on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June between 11am-4pm for either 1st or 2nd jab, or to Lyng Hall School, Blackberry Lane, CV2 3JS on Wednesday 30th June 2pm-6pm. No ID needed, any over 18s encouraged to come.

Violence Reduction

The West Midlands Violence Reduction Unit’s Faith Alliance first virtual meeting will take place on Wednesday 7th July at 2pm to together decide key priorities. The VRUFA equips faith communities to understand and prevent youth violence. RSVP to confirm attendance and to receive the full agenda. Get involved and have your say.
Join a new orchestra

As part of Coventry Central Hall’s City of Culture “Artists in Residence Programme” (AiR), Seb Farrall is starting a brand new orchestra. The AiR programme is funded by Coventry and Nuneaton Methodist churches. Membership of the orchestra is open to all. Rehearsals begin in September 2021, working towards a large celebration concert in April 2022.

Remembering Srebrenica

Churches and others can commemorate the Srebrenica genocide in Memorial Week between 4th and 11th July. Commemorations vary and are simple to organise; suggestions include adapting template prayers, stories and readings to your service, posting on social media to show solidarity, or lighting a candle.
