What does the nominee love about working at UC Berkeley?

The opportunity I have here to work with some of the most talented and respected professionals in my field, while at the same time supporting a values-driven organization.

What makes the nominee a star, what sets them apart from their colleagues?
I've always been someone who likes to ask "how can I help?" I think we're at our best and most capable when we know we are part of a supportive team. For those reasons, I've been involved with different organizations and efforts building vibrant communities here. Berkeley is a special place to me and I want people connected it to feel a sense of shared success.

What tip would the nominee pass on to other staff to thrive on campus?
Join a staff group or attend staff events! Seek out mentorship opportunities or supportive communities to grow as a professional and individual. Berkeley, locally or remotely, has so many offerings for staff to take advantage of: lectures, performances, sporting events, wellness programs, library access, continuing education, and so much more. Take advantage of what is around you!

What can we find the nominee doing on the weekends?
Rediscovering hidden gems and old haunts around the East Bay, enjoying time with friends and close ones, and tinkering away with various DIY projects.
