REMINDER: Our indoor worship continues to require all participants remain masked and observe social distancing throughout the worship service. Opportunites to socialize unmasked are available outdoors before and after the service.

All are welcome to our 11AM outdoor worship service held in the open air, with the sounds of the birds and the rustling of leaves. Music, scriptures, and communion are all part of this outdoor worship. Masks are not required.

Church News and Notes

For the first time in a year, the Christ In Our Home devotion books for next quarter are available at church in both the regular and large print editions. Please help yourself, and pick up a copy for a friend. If you are unable to get to Mt Carmel, contact the church office and ask Mary Ann to mail one to you.

Permits are expected to be issued soon with construction beginning by late-June. The first items on the list for the construction crew will be building the new driveway from Fredericks Street to the upper lot, and adding a perimeter fence for safety. The upper lot will be available for Mt. Carmel parking when needed.

We plan on keeping you fully updated throughout the process, so keep your eyes on the Vistas for news and photos.

COVID-19 Vaccine Updates

COVID-19 vaccines are now approved for ages 12+. Walk-ins and same day appointments are available throughout SLO County.

Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccines for Kids

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is now approved for anyone age 12 years and older.
Know the Facts:

Type of Vaccine: mRNA
Number of Doses: 2 doses, 21 days apart
Does NOT Contain: Eggs, preservatives, latex. Not recommended for children who experience severe allergic reactions resulting in anaphylaxis or emergency EpiPen administration.

Share these resources with friends, neighbors, and family members so they can be informed about COVID-19 vaccine for children and teens.

Both 1st and 2nd dose COVID-19 vaccine appointments are available at County Public Health clinics, many local pharmacies, and community providers. You can make an appointment online at MyTurn.ca.gov or Vaccine Finder.

Walk-in vaccinations are welcome at County Public Health clinics during available hours, as supply allows. Check clinic locations and hours of operation.

Post a photo of yourself smiling, flexing your vaccine arm, or showing off your "I got vaccinated!" sticker, and tell us about your vaccine experience-- don't forget to hashtag #VaccineChampion!

Protect Your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card

Your vaccination record card has personal information that can put you at risk for identity theft. Make sure you protect your card and identity with these tips:

✔️ Do: Snap a picture of the card in case it gets lost or misplaced.
❌ Don't: Share a photo of your card online. Take a picture of your vaccine sticker or bandage instead.
✔️ Do: Keep your card stored in a safe place at home.
❌ Don't: Laminate your card. The heat may damage the card or cause the ink to be illegible.

Anyone who loses their vaccination record card should not print a fake one at home or buy a fake vaccination record card, as it is against the law. Instead, request a new one by calling the County’s Phone Assistance Center at (805) 543-2444. Read the full news release here.

Volunteers from Mt. Carmel prepare and serve a hot lunch for The People's Kitchen program at 40 Prado on the first Friday of each month. Here is a list of our volunteers for Friday, July 2:
