It's going to be a hot Mass!

We will have fans going in the church but we know they will offer little relief from the heat.  Watching the broadcast on our YouTube Channel or Facebook page is encouraged. There will not be a reception for graduates following Mass. Sorry graduates, stay cool!
Mass last Sunday included a beautiful Father's Day reflection by David Gregory, pictured above with his eight-month-old son, Jack.  If you missed it click here for the video found on our YouTube Channel.  Thank you Sarah and David for sharing your story with us.
Free Food Market in the St Andrew Community Center
This Thursday - 1 to 2 PM
Each month on the 4th Thursday we host a Free Food Market for anyone who needs food. There are fresh fruits and vegetables as well as dry goods and snacks. No income verification nor ID required. This program is not restricted to the St Andrew parish boundaries. People come from all over the metro area.
Letter from the Birmingham Jail.

Many of you may have read or listened to parts of Dr. King's famous letter. We'd like to recommend you read or re-read the entire Letter from the Birmingham Jail. As a parish, we are looking forward as we work to become more antiracist and more welcoming. However, it is important to also look back. This letter provides valuable insights and inspiration.

Papal Message for 107th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, 2021: Towards an Ever Wider “We”

The World Day of Migrants and Refugees is the last Sunday of September to conclude National Migration Week; in 2021 we celebrate it on September 26.

“The truth however is that we are all in the same boat and called to work together so that there will be no more walls that separate us, no longer others, but only a single ‘we’, encompassing all of humanity. Thus I would like to use this World Day to address a twofold appealfirst to the Catholic faithful and then all the men and women of our world, to advance together towards an ever wider ‘we.’

A Church that is more and more “catholic”
“For the members of the Catholic Church, this appeal entails a commitment to becoming ever more faithful to our being ‘catholic’, as Saint Paul reminded the community in Ephesus: ‘There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism”’ (Eph 4:4-5).

Plan to wear your mask when attending Mass.

News from the Parish Liturgical Commission: Consensus is that we will no longer require signups for Mass. Up to 100 people may come to Mass on Sunday. You can come to Mass using either the side or front doors. We will continue to use only every other pew and still require masks. People can sit where they wish and families that know each other may sit together. We will have hand sanitizer at all doors. We need to be respectful of others who may be more fearful of COVID. We are grateful to Jennifer Podichetty who has coordinated the sign up for Sunday Mass. In early July we will share further details with the parish about opening up Mass for additional people to attend.
