Govanstowne Farmers Market
Wednesdays // 5104 York Road // 3-6pm
One of the best things about our market is the sense of community we create on our market parking lot each week.  Together we gather to #GrowCommunity.  As we emerge from the pandemic, seeing our neighbors has been one of the most joyful experiences.

We're grateful for community leaders like 4th District Councilman Mark Conway, local York Road Partnership leaders, and Community Schools leaders and staff like local Principals who give of their time (and often money) to support the growth of the market and our community.   We hope you'll join us.

See you at market!

Mark Your Calendar:
Market Movie Night on June 30
Celebrate the end of the school year and the reconstruction of the new Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle School!  Join us for a socially distanced movie night on June 30th at 7:00pm.  We'll be screening Disney's new film "Raya and the Last Dragon" on a giant inflatable screen thanks to Loyola University Maryland.

Bring a lawn chair and a blanket.  While we wait for the sun to set, visit our favorite vendors, Taco Loco Mexican Food for dinner between 6-7pm.  Free snowballs and popcorn will be available thanks to Kona Ice and the Govans Farmers Market for youth 18 and under.

Register here and share with your friends and neighbors!

Information & New Vendors at Market this Week
This week at market:

Govans Elementary School will be back at market again this week to share information about their school reconstruction process happening at 5801 York Road and answer questions about enrollment.  (That's correct, York Road corridor has two new reconstructed schools, totalling over $100M worth of investment!)

Nutrition Education with Christy Fricks: Stop by for recipes or to learn more about the fresh seasonal produce available at market.
Artist Nguyen Khoi Nguyen will be doing "Pandemic Portraits" to raise funds for Asian Americans Advancing Justice.   Nguyen will be doing imaginative drawings about what each individual is hiding under their mask.  Nguyen has been doing these portraits at Whitehall Market for the AAPI Heritage month celebrations.  Visit him by the Youth Area past the pre-order station for your portrait!
Eli the Artist will be showcasing ElliChic designs and artwork.  Eli is a graduate of the Baltimore  Design School and is a former intern at the Govans Farmers Market.  Help us welcome him back to market this week by stopping by his booth!
