HALO programs 

Welcome to our July newsletter. Our HALO program is designed to help our community to 'Find Your 30'. Thirty minutes per day of moderate to intense physical activity is what's recommended under Australia's Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines.

We hope our newsletter will assist you in finding ways to increase your physical activity.

Noarlunga Aquatic Centre - EOFY Special

The Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is providing 3 months full membership for only $120 (first time members only). This membership provides access to:

OUTFIT Onkaparinga

Term 2 finishing Friday 2 July

As we are now in the middle of winter, its difficult to do outdoor fitness, therefore OUTFIT Onkaparinga will finish on Friday 2 July and have a break during term 3. We will be looking at recommencing in October so stayed tuned for further details.

In the meantime, you may want to consider joining Noarlunga Aquatic Centre for their 3 month membership (see details above).

Come and Try Kitesurfing

The Kitesurfing State Wave Titles are coming to Aldinga Beach for the first time and will host the state's best kitesurfers.

As part of this event there will be FREE Come and Try activities to learn the safety requirements of kitesurfing and have a first-hand experience at flying learner kites.

Please note that this event is weather dependent and will be held one weekend between Saturday 19 June and Sunday 1 August. The exact date will be confirmed 3 to 4 days prior to the weekend of the event.  To book and find out more...

Free and Personal Walking Plan

When it comes to exercise, Heart Foundation Walking recognise it can be hard to know which advice to trust, how to get started and how to stick with it.

They have created easy-to-follow Personal Walking Plans that will help you be more active, healthier and happier in just six weeks.

parkrun 

Did you know that there are five parkrun locations within the City of Onkaparinga and attract over 500 people each week?

parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km timed walk, jog or run held every Saturday at 8am. It is run by volunteers and is open to everyone of all abilities. Join in the fun!. Find out more...

Sports Vouchers

Did you know that your child could be entitled to a discount on their sport registration fees?

The Sports Vouchers program provides an opportunity for primary school aged children from Reception to Year 7 to receive up to a $100 discount on sports or dance membership/registration fees and learn to swim programs ..  Find out more...
