REGISTER TODAY AND PROTECT AN ENDANGERED SPECIES FOR TOMORROW

We’re delighted to announce that the Saving the Elephants Run/Walk is happening again in person this year in Central Park, New York on November 13th 2021 – and also virtually, so from anywhere you are in the world!

For the last three years, Zambezi Elephant Fund has benefited from this fun event, our biggest annual fundraiser. Pandemic restrictions, of course, meant that we were unable to #runforelephants in New York in 2020, but it also showed us that we could still do our bit, in our neighbourhoods, on beaches, mountain trails or bush walks! From New York to New Zealand, we can help stop the elephants of the Zambezi Valley from fading away.

REGISTER NOW!
In the IUCN’s latest assessment, African savanna elephants, which grace the Zambezi Valley with their magnificence, have been reclassified  from “vulnerable” to “endangered”.
We cannot afford to ignore this warning.
Thanks to Saving the Elephants Run, we can all do something to help maintain elephant populations and protect them. And just imagine what we can do if we all do it together?

MORE SUPER BIG NEWS!

Zambezi Elephant Fund is proud to announce we have 5 charity places up for grabs in The TCS NYC Marathon, to be held on Sunday, 7th November 2021. This world-renowned marathon, marking its 50th year, will, this year, host a reduced field of 33,000 runners and, critically, there will be no general draw, so one of the only guaranteed methods of entry to this prestigious event is via a charity place.

Runners must fundraise at least $5,000 to support ZEF’s conservation initiatives in Zimbabwe’s Zambezi Valley and help protect the world’s second largest population of African elephants.
Runners must pay their own entry fee and cover all other costs.
Runners will be supported by ZEF’s marketing and fundraising teams to maximise your efforts.

Please contact us if you’re interested in finding out more about how you can run in The TCS NYC Marathon and help save elephants!

If you’d like to learn a little more about ZEF’s work, take a look at this short video or browse our latest impact brochure.
With grateful thanks from the Zambezi Elephant Fund team!
Donations made to Zambezi Elephant Fund are securely received by Re:wild (formally Global Wildlife Conservation), a registered 501(c)(3), who has formally agreed to act as a fiscal sponsor to the Zambezi Elephant Fund. Tax ID #26-2887967.
