Leading with Equity: An NCPHLI Series

With reflection from program participants, alumni, and other public leaders, the regular North Carolina Public Health Leadership Institute (NCPHLI) will be on pause in 2021-22 in order to offer a leadership program specifically focused on building leadership skills around equity.

NCPHLI Leading with Equity Series will be a series of online sessions focused on providing North Carolina public health leaders at the state and local level with skills to work on issues around equity in their agencies and their communities. The series will be grounded in formative work done by Human Impact Partners and the Big Cities Health Coalition to create an ‘equity lens’ toolkit for health departments as well as rooted in the newly published 10 Essential Public Health Services model which centers equity.

The NCPHLI Leading with Equity Series program will run September 2021 – May 2022 and consist of monthly formal online learning sessions with a possible additional in-person session (based on participant schedules, flexibility, and/or ongoing pandemic impacts).
