This has been a busy week: at the General Assembly, we elected a new Executive Board and welcomed new members; at the FutureLabAE conference, we discussed why change-oriented education can give us feelings of hope and got to know some inspiring stories. It was great to see so many of you show up and actively participate in the discussions.
And there's more to come: stay tuned for a series of EAEA online events on inclusive adult learning, a statement on Individual Learning Accounts, and more.
What have you been working on? Please contact us if you have any news to share with other EAEA members!
Best wishes,
Aleksandra
There are reasons for hope
"There are reasons for hope. There are reasons to feel emboldened by challenges. If you cast your eye over the last century and a half, adult education has always tried to democratize education," said Dr Fergal Finnegan from the National University or Ireland, Maynooth, speaking at the FutureLabAE conference earlier this week. During EAEA's two-day virtual event, we discussed the power of change-oriented education, new EU and global policy developments, the we are ale campaign, and more. A big thank you to you - our participants - for joining us!
The General Assembly of EAEA members elected a new Executive Board for a two-year term, led by President Uwe Gartenschlaeger. Find out more from the press release.
