From the Outreach Committee
As were so many others, the Outreach committee was horrified and saddened on hearing the news of the remains of the 215 children found in Kamloops, BC. At our meeting on June 2, we discussed how we, as a church, might try to understand how this and other terrible events might be prevented in the future and how to reach out to our indigenous communities to inform ourselves and build relationships. We know that we, as Canadians, have played a role in not actively addressing the racism, the violence and the disparities under which many of our indigenous neighbours live. This is Indigenous History month. The NB Public Library ( dated June 4, 2021) has a daily recommended book/post on facebook each day for 215 days. You may like to check this option out.
