In person worship will be held in the sanctuary with the appropriate COVID protocols on Sunday, June 20 at 11:00 am.  You may also access the service from the safety of your own home through our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/wilmotunitedchurch  or later through the Wilmot Website http://www.wilmotuc.nb.ca.

Please remember that Wilmot is a SCENT FREE space to keep everyone safe.
From the Outreach Committee

As were so many others, the Outreach committee was horrified and saddened on hearing the news of the remains of the 215 children found in Kamloops, BC. At our meeting on June 2, we discussed how we, as a church, might try to understand how this and other terrible events might be prevented in the future and how to reach out to our indigenous communities to inform ourselves and build relationships. We know that we, as Canadians, have played a role in not actively addressing the racism, the violence and the disparities under which many of our indigenous neighbours live. This is Indigenous History month.  The NB Public Library ( dated June 4, 2021) has a daily recommended book/post on facebook each day for 215 days. You may like to check this option out.

You may also be interested in accessing the attached resources. In the fall, we hope to engage Wilmot folks  in some discussions which will lead to better knowledge, understanding and action. We wish you a safe and healthy summer and welcome any suggestions that you may have.

Come and Join Us! All are Welcome!
Spirit Conversations
When: June 24, 2021  7:00 – 8:30 pm
Topic: NATURE: Uplifting our Spirits

This final session in the 'January to June 2021 series' will be taken into the outdoors. We will go on a short 'walk and talk' excursion together, abiding by all the COVID protocols in place: masks and social distancing, etcetera. Fresh air and the beautiful outdoors - what does it do for your spirit? We'll take time to reflect on this question, and hope we'll learn a few new things about the wonderful flora and fauna we encounter on our walk.

Our conversations continue to reveal the richness in our diverse perspectives. We'd love to learn from you!

Where?: Odell Park. We have booked Odell Lodge from 6:45 to 8:45pm. We will meet and start our session there. We will be conscious of the possible need to make accommodations for anyone with mobility issues. Come prepared for the weather and the bugs, and don't forget your masks and hand sanitizers. (There may even be some treats to end our evening together!)

Registration: Given this is our first in-person session, please let us know if you are intending to participate. Send an email to Marilyn at marilynluscombe@gmail.com

Note: Given the planned construction at the entrance to Odell Park, we will let you know if there are alternate plans required that evening.

A BIG THANK YOU

If you have been by the church recently, you will have noticed that our gardens have been spruced up.  Thanks to our Youth and their leaders for providing the labour and some of their funds to make our space more beautiful.  Thanks also to the UCW who provided some funding to support our Youth.
New City Council Members

Congratulations to Ruth Breen, Councillor for Ward 9, a Wilmoteer and a member of our Ministry and Personnel Committee and Jason Lejeune, Councillor for Ward 11, a supporter of Saturday Night Drop In for many years and now of our Housing First initiative. We look forward to your leadership in making Fredericton a great place to live for all members of our community.
