Conservation Programming  ($)
FSA has extended sign-ups for Conservation Reserve Grasslands to July 23rd. The program provides payments to landowners to protect environmentally sensitive areas in selected grasses/plants and maintain the land in grazing. This is a competitive, ranked application process. Beginning and veteran farmers may get extra ranking points. Factsheet.

Use an independent lab or Penn State. Basic testing starts at $9. Those attending the Aug. 7 workshop at Hope Hill Lavender Farm may bring their results and agronomist Monica Pape will review them with you.

resources, we highly recommend you invite your local conservation district ag pro out for a site visit. They've got the tools and knowledge to get you off to a solid start, no matter what kind of ag operation you plan.

Central PA MarketWagon
Market Wagon provides hosts regional online sales for farmers to deliver their products locally. South Central Pennsylvania will start up a market soon at 5351 Jaycee Avenue, Harrisburg, PA  17112, temporarily address with a move in about a month to 6380 Flank Drive, Suite 800, Harrisburg, PA  17112. Participant farmers would need to get their product to the hub every Thursday.  Contact Christina and see their site for vendor info.  Rob Mowery (USN) participates in the Allegheny County market--contact him if you'd like first-hand lessons learned.
