Hi All,
The June GWC 400 Club draw was made on 9 June by the Mayor of Guildford on her visit to the Centre . The winner of monthly prize of £50 was 13.

You will all understand that these are difficult times, with ever changing rules and restrictions  for the Centre and it's clubs and we hope that Members and friends of the Centre can help, in a small way, by joining the 400 Club.

Forms are available for those who would like to join the GWC 400 Club (only £2 a month). They are available on the Wey Kayak Club website, http://www.weykayak.co.uk and from chairman@weykayak.co.uk.

We were delighted by the very positive reactions, comments and verbal support given by the Mayor.  We were able to show her all the different activities and support that the Centre provides to the community.  She talked to many of the Centre members from the Samson Centre and the Wey KC, and we were able to put on a session on the new paddling machine.  She declined to have a go!!!
We talked to her about the Weyside Urban Village project and how the Centre could provide increased community support with further investment. We confirmed that a team of professional from the Centre were submitting a bit to GBC for this investment.

The new cubicles in the Ladies showers are in place and the replacement central benching in both the Ladies and Gents changing rooms should be assembled this month. 

GWC Trustee would like again, to thank all those who have volunteered with the Centre's upgrade during the last year.
We look forward to receiving much more assistance, from volunteers, in the future.
