Tax status update
Members, the General Manager is planning an update on where we’re at with the 501(c)7 tax status issues. This update will be presented on Thursday, June 24, in the Social Hall. On that day, the Governing Board will be holding a Regular Board meeting, followed immediately by the Annual Membership Meeting. The meetings will be livestreamed on YouTube.
The June 24 Regular meeting is the Board’s last scheduled meeting of the Fiscal Year, before exiting Directors finish their terms on June 30 and new Directors are seated July 1. The Board typically recesses during the summer, with meetings resuming in September. However, meetings can be called by the President or by at least two Directors who make such a request in writing. All meeting agendas are posted at least 48 hours in advance at gb.suncitywest.com.
The Annual Meeting is a chance for all Owner Members to share their comments, ideas, suggestions and concerns with the Board.
Background information you may be interested in prior to the Regular and Annual meeting can be found down below:

Grandview summer maintenance
The Grandview Golf Course, practice range and pro shop will be closed for summer maintenance June 17-21, however the Crooked Putter will remain open during that time.
There will also be repairs to the restrooms, which should take two weeks but also result in their closure during that time. Portable toilets will be brought on premises for customer and staff use during this time. They will be located near the practice range. The portable toilets are scheduled to be delivered on June 16. Facility Maintenance personnel will oversee and direct their placement.
Pebblebrook Putting Green update
On Thursday, June 3, work continued on the Pebblebrook putting green project as the RCSCW environmental team sprayed two truck loads of stolons onto the area. The stolon will continue to be fertalized and watered over the next few weeks.
Quick note about the color: Right now, the stolon has a bright and beautiful green color but sometime over the next week or so, you may drive by Pebblebrook and see that it has turned brown, making it look like it has died. There is no need to worry about the loss of color! As the stolon is watered, the green fiber wears off, making it turn a brown color. As the environmental team continues to water and maintain the area, the stolon will eventually return to its green color.
