JUNE 17, 2021

Don't forget... THIS SUNDAY is Father's Day!

Join us this Sunday for the final message in this short series called (un)Hurried. We've looked at the problem we have in our culture of the pace of our lives and the danger it holds for all of us: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This weekend, Stew will suggest some common practices drawn from the lifestyle of Jesus and the history of the Church than can help us slow down.

You can also find the current week's devotions here.

We would like to recommend this book by John Mark Comer called The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: How to Stay Emotionally Healthy and Spiritually Alive in the Chaos of the Modern World. It is an excellent read. Follow the link below to find out more about the book, which is available in print, as an e-book, or on audio.

Don't forget! We are now meeting at 10:30 am on Sundays for ONE WORSHIP GATHERING.

The Café will be open early downstairs for adults, and the Warehouse upstairs for students, to connect before our service starts.

If you have any questions, please contact one of our staff or elders.

We know it’s still a few months away, but we wanted you to mark your calendars. We will again provide the Children’s Area for the Beavercreek Popcorn Festival in September. Contact Terri Fleck via email or in the church office if you would like to help with planning and organizing it this year.

HIGH SCHOOL CAMP starts this Sunday! Middle School week in a couple weeks. It's not too late to register. Follow the QR code for more details.
We want to be a people of prayer here at BCC. Here are some ways we try to do that:
  1. On Sundays mornings, if you would like to pray with someone, volunteers with an orange lanyard are available to pray with you.
  2. On Mondays we send out a guide via email for you and your family to reflect on the message from Sunday and to spend time in prayer.
  3. Also on Monday evenings we have a Prayer Room open at 7:00 pm in-person at BCC. Every Monday we meet to pray over the the needs of our church and to pray with you and for your needs if you want to join us. Park in the back parking lot and enter through the Warehouse entrance.
  4. You can also submit prayer requests via the PRAYER tab on our website. Those requests are then prayed over by a dedicated team of prayer partners. If the request is marked *Confidential, then only elders and staff see it and pray.
Do you like to write? Do you have a gift for communicating God's wisdom in grace and truth? For several months now we have been offering daily reflections based on the week's sermon theme. We are needing volunteers to write devotions for our next sermon series: "Questions God Asks." If you are interested in helping others grow through providing these devotional thoughts, contact Ed Green at ed@beavercreekchristian.org to find out what's involved. We still have some weeks available for the summer series.
The Church Has Left the Building!
Through the end of June, we want to continue with our emphasis of showing some love to health care workers. We invite you to creatively show love to folks who work in healthcare of all kinds: nurses, doctors, counselors, social workers, etc. As you do so, share with us stories of how God is at work.
As we are trying to stay connected as a church getting info out to you and helping you connect is vitally important, which is why we’ve built BaseCamp. To make that connection as easy as possible we are asking everyone to set up BaseCamp on your phone’s home screen. Follow the link below for short instructional video on how you can do that and stay connected with us.
