We're Back!
A message from EUPA Executive Director, Mike Steele


With the province of Alberta moving into stage two of the Open for Summer re-launch, we're proud to announce that summer league registration is open!

We have been working hard to prepare for a safe return-to-play and are excited to get back on the field. There are three options to choose from and games begin the week of July 5th.
  1. Mondays 5v5 - Hat League
  2. Tuesdays 5v5 - Team Sign Up
  3. Thursdays 7v7 - Team Sign Up 
Sign up options are available for teams, small groups, and individuals, and there is an interest form for those who don't have a team. Following 9 weeks of league competition, we'll be running a league wrap tournament on August 21st - so keep that date clear! For more information about leagues visit EUPA.ca

As we head back out onto the field we'd like to remind everyone that as excited as we all are - we're not out of the woods on this yet. To put it in ultimate terms, while it might feel like we've got COVID at a stall 8, they've still got the disc and one heck of a hammer. So please, continue to follow all AHS guidelines with regard to gatherings, use of masks, distancing, and vaccines.

Free Pickup in June

We are running FREE pickup Ultimate at Kaskitayo every Tuesday and Thursday in June. Just show up at 7pm with a light and dark shirt, and we'll take care of the rest!
Youth Summer League

Registration is now open for Youth Summer League starting in July.

  • Who: All youth ages 12-18 who are interested in playing Ultimate!
  • When: Thursday nights, July 15 to August 19, 2021 (6 weeks)
    • Time: 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
  • Where: Kaskitayo Sports Park (19 Ave & 109 St)
  • What: We'll be practicing the skills we need to play the first part of every week and follow that up with dividing into age groups and scrimmaging with those close in age to us.
  • Cost: $30+GST/player
    • Includes registration and a disc
    • A valid 2021 Membership ($8) is required to register in this league. Membership will be automatically added if necessary when checking out.
  • Registration: Sign up online now! Registration closes Monday July 12th at 10 p.m.
Girls & Women Can Play Free This Summer!
The InMotion Network exists to reduce barriers for women and girls to participate in sport, and they would like to cover the costs of women and girls who are new to Ultimate or who haven't played in a couple years to sign up and play.

If you know of any females who would like to play in any EUPA summer leagues (adult or youth), they can use the coupon code "inmotion" when registering to cover the cost of their registration.

This grant is intended to support new female players or those who haven't played in a couple years.

Disc Golf Adventure 2021

Come join EUPA and the Edmonton Disc Golf Association (EDGA) for a Disc Golf Adventure all while raising funds for EUPA's annual charity - Boyle Street Community Services! Monetary donations are welcomed and all event proceeds will go to Boyle Street.

This event will happen at The Hills Disc Golf Course on Saturday July 10th at 10am. Small groups will start by rotating through 3 different stations where an EDGA instructor will discuss a key skill for disc golf before heading out on the 9 hole course! Participants are encouraged to stay distanced and will get individual equipment. Registration includes a snack bag and rental of disc golf discs; let us know when registering if you want to use your own discs.

Save the Date - Pre-Fall Brawl
 

Everyone's favourite end-of-summer tournament is coming back in 2021. Pre-Fall Brawl will be taking place on September 4th/5th at Druids Rugby Park in Sherwood Park. There will be ultimate, social activities, and camping may be an option this year.

Make sure you mark the dates on your calendar. You don't want to miss this!
