In the week that celebrates World Giraffe Day (21st June) we are delighted to update you on exciting new developments taking place at Giraffe Manor.
The Retreat is a brand new build which has been designed to pay homage to the house next door and will be opening on 1 August 2021.
Located on the same forested sanctuary as Giraffe Manor, The Retreat provides an exquisite wellness experience for Manor House guests as well as day room facilities for guests of The Safari Collection portfolio who require a stopover in Nairobi. Located just 80 metres to the left of the Main Manor, it shares the same tranquil outlook over the forested giraffe sanctuary.

All you need to know about the newest member of The Safari Collection
On the ground floor the facilities include a 21-meter infinity pool, fully equipped gym, sauna, steam room and hot tub together with 2 en-suite spa treatments rooms. There is also the new Daisy Cafe restaurant and bar, a sundeck and for the cooler days an indoor lounge with fireplace. On the first floor there are 4 en-suite day use rooms and rooftop garden.
The Retreat cannot be booked for overnight stays, it is for day use only between the hours for 6am and 10pm.

Fast Facts & Rates
NEED TO KNOW
- Facilities are free to overnight guests in residence at Giraffe Manor, excluding spa treatments, food and drinks.
- Giraffes do NOT have access to rooms or dining areas at The Retreat. However, direct contact with the giraffes is possible at the end of the pool, although as wild animals their presence at any given time cannot guarantee.
- The Retreat, like the Garden Manor, is only open to guests of The Safari Collection portfolio and therefore can only be booked in combination with one or more of our bush properties (Sasaab, Solio Lodge and/or Sala’s Camp) excluding Giraffe Manor. If guests are only staying at Giraffe Manor, they can use The Retreat facilities during their stay within the check-in and check-out hours. If they require a Retreat Pass, Early Bird Package or Day Room at any other point during their safari they are welcome to book one of the other Safari Collection properties.
- 4 weeks from arrival, any last-minute space at The Retreat (Day Rooms, Retreat Pass or Early Bird) will be available to book as a standalone destination.
- The Retreat rooms cannot be booked for overnight stays; they are for day use only. The Retreat closes daily from 10:00pm to 6am.

Room Rates (Day Use)
Includes water, select soft drinks, a homemade snack & use of The Retreat facilities
- Lily's Room: US$ 1 600 based on up to 4 guests sharing
- Waridi's Room & Nandi's Room: US$ 1 200 based on up to 3 guests sharing
- Alizeti's Room: US$ 800 based on up to 2 guests sharing
- Extra Guest: US$ 350 (Lily's Room can take 2 additional guests, while the other 3 rooms can only take 1 extra guest)
Additional Access to The Retreat
Includes water, luggage storage & use of The Retreat facilities
- Retreat Pass: US$ 250 for day access
- Valid from 10:00am to 10:00pm
- Maximum 10 passes per day
- Early Bird Package: US$ 250 for half day access and breakfast
- Valid from 6:00am to 12:00pm
- Maximum 8 passes per day
For all guests spa treatments, food and drinks are an additional charge.
While guests staying at Garden and Main Manor may use The Retreat facilities, day guests at The Retreat will not have access to the Garden Manor or Main Manor.
