Divine Call Returned
Pastor Nathanael Scharf has returned the call to serve here at Prince of Peace.  A tentative call date will be Sunday, June 27th following the Voter’s meeting.
 
Reminder!
This Sunday, June 20 is our Open Forum during family Bible hour.  Here we will discuss items that will be voted on at the next voter’s meeting.

Looking for help!

Our voting members will be electing new people to fill various positions throughout our Leadership groups. Descriptions of the open positions are available for those who may be interested in serving in this capacity.

 

HIGHLIGHTED POSITIONS

 

Chairman- (2yr term) Responsible for leading the PoP Congregation, Leadership & Strategic Planning Teams. Must be a voting member, have experience with PoP Leadership or affiliated congregation, previous leadership service preferred.

 

Financial Secretary- (2yr term) Responsible for recording and reporting offerings and income for PoP Congregation and Leadership Team. Must be a voting member, have experience with Leadership at PoP or affiliated congregation.

Secretary of Leadership- (2yr term) Responsible for recording and organizing meetings and organizational documents. Must be a voting member, and have experience with church leadership.

Member of Board of Spiritual Welfare (Elder)- (3yr term) Responsible for spiritual affiairs of the church; acloytes, ushers, communion, connect with church members. Must be a voting member, be an experienced member of Prince of Peace, and preferably a mature Christian.
We will begin building our Prince of Peace float on Wednesday, June 23. We’d love your help!  We would also love for you to join us walking with our float and handing out thousands of popsicles!  If you are interested in helping in any way, let Kat or Pr. Peil know!

One-Minute Bible Bits – One-minute videos by Pastor Steve Geiger of our seminary in Wisconsin. (Other playlists here. Lots of good ones.)

Sunday School with Pastor – The pastor in the videos is Pastor Mike Seifert. He’s visited Prince of Peace a few times because he’s Pastor Micheel’s brother-in-law. He’s been doing short Sunday school videos for his church near Richmond, Virginia.

Family Devotions – This new series we mentioned last week. Short devotions with discussion questions for all age levels. Three per week.

Your Time of Grace - Daily devotions and videos developed with real-life weekly themes designed for everyday encouragements. You also can subscribe to have these delivered into your email daily!

And a book recommendation: 5-Minute Bible Studies for Teens. A newish devotion book especially for those in middle and high school.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION 

Our Box Top for Education Program has been a little stale for the last few years but this year we are really trying to ramp up the program.  The program is now app-based and really requires no more “clipping”. You can currently clip the physical box tops until they expire as well as scanning your receipts to essentially “double-dip” the box top money.

Please bring in any box tops you have been saving as well as download the app to be able to scan your receipts and start earning money towards various items for school.
