Washington State Parks is in the process of establishing a senior leadership position to help guide the agency’s environmental justice, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. This DEI Director will provide strategic leadership for the agency with the goal of ensuring that all Washington State Parks services, processes and places are accessible, welcoming and inclusive for all people.
The survey linked here asks for your thoughts about the qualities, characteristics and life experiences they should look for in their candidates. They've also scheduled two opportunities for participation in a focus group to share your opinions - more information about this can be found in the survey.
They are looking for feedback between now and June 28th. Feel free to provide your input and/or pass this along to anyone else who might be interested.
