JUNE 2021

This past month, I did something that, in the "before times" was SO normal - I flew on an airplane! I had a long-overdue reunion with close family, and even got to meet two team members that joined Brilliant Ink during the pandemic. It was SO wonderfully fulfilling. And now, as my kids wind down their wacky school year, I'm beginning to look ahead to a summer of long-overdue trips and family visits. 

All of this should make me HAPPY, right?! And yet, I find myself struggling with feelings of fear, guilt, anxiety and the occasional desire to curl up back inside the safety of isolation.  Following a period of intense change and trauma, it's very difficult to simply "switch back." Not to mention, this past year+ has made many of us reconsider how we want to spend our time - including time spent on airplanes, commuting and sitting in offices. 

Every single company (including ours!) is grappling with this right now. Navigating health requirements and employee emotions and preferences is a real conundrum!
