Meet Jo Ann Robinson and Sasha, a modern talk show host, as Jo Ann discusses the women behind the Civil Rights movement! Jo Ann Robinson was a powerhouse during the Montgomery, Alabama bus boycott in the mid 1950s; an ordinary woman who was part of an extraordinary achievement.

This is the in-person version of a selection from our virtual show,  History Theatre Time Travel Experience Production.

In addition to the play at 3pm, there will be other free events beginning at 1:30 pm including:

  • a local mural arts tour curated by HFH educator Carolyn Singleton
  • a tour of the HFH gardens with special attention to crops from the African Diaspora, led by Tito Caba, local artist and gardener.
