Fairview Family, I hope this column finds you well and enjoying your place in God's family. Putting together this brief newsletter is a joy because it's a reminder that we belong to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ and as those who enjoy fellowship with one another through our local church. As those united in this way, take a look at the photos above and see our children lifting their voices and hearts in song on the last day of VBS. Once again, thank you to all who volunteered last week. Our children were blessed.

As for this Sunday, please notice we are having the Lord's Supper, and so we ask that you prepare yourselves accordingly.

"Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup." 1 Corinthians 11:28

We will be returning to our tradition of observing the sacrament together at the table. If you are unable to come to the table, we can serve you in your seat. As for the rest of the worship service, you can see the order of worship here.

We are in need of another children's Sunday School teacher and a few assistant teachers. Email me to help.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

AUDIO/ VISUAL SPECIAL OFFERING
Thanks to your generosity, we now have enough funds to purchase audio/ visual equipment for our sanctuary. Thank you for giving! Stay tuned for further announcements regarding these technological improvements.

SESSION/ DIACONATE COMBINED MEETING
June 27, 6 p.m.
Our elders and deacons will meet together as we usually do once a quarter. Officers, please note this time and make plans to be with us.

CHILDREN'S VOLUNTEER TRAINING
July 11, 6 p.m., FLC
Our children are a gift from the Lord, an answer to prayer, and in need of shepherding and biblical instruction just like any of us. We try to provide various opportunities for our children to be nurtured in the Lord. We also provide a safe environment for this time with our children. For these reasons, we ask our children's ministry volunteers to complete a short but important training. This is typically done online or via a written test. This year, with so many who need to be retrained in accord with our child protection policy, we are going to provide the training for you, if you would prefer. You are invited to come out that evening; we will have light refreshments and walk through the training together. We will notify you within the next week if it's time for you to be retrained. ROADWORK
The bridge on Phillips Lane between Fairview Church Rd. and Nash Mill Rd. will be closed for a couple of months beginning next Tuesday. I know this is a route many of you take from Fountain Inn or from the interstate. Adjust accordingly.

Please pray for: Martha Taylor's back surgery, Hollis McCarter's knee replacement surgery on June 28, Janie Brashier in Carlyle Nursing Home, Linda Peden with health issues, Carl Chadbourne has been moved to the skilled nursing care at Rolling Green following his fall, Dottie Spaar's recovery, John Martzin's friend, Jeff, had surgery for a malignant brain tumor, and for the physical and spiritual health of the church.
