Community Public Display of PRIDE (ACT Sunday)
Sunday, June 28th, 9 am – 7 pm
We're celebrating our LGBTQIA+ siblings by spearheading a display of PRIDE along NE 12th St between 108th and 112th Ave NE in Bellevue with 200 PRIDE flags and celebratory signs! Come by and check it out.  More information is available
here.
  • Want to make a sign to add to the display? Join the sign-making party!  We'll have supplies and tables in the church parking lot from 10 am - 1 pm on Saturday, June 27th.
  • Want to help post the signs to show your suppport? Meet at 9 am at the NE corner of 108th Ave and 12th St for set up and/or at 6 pm to move them all to the church front yard!
Virtually Accessible PRIDE (ACT Sunday)
Experience PRIDE without any of the usual hassles!  All the fun, the crazy and the wonderful will be online and easily accessible from the comfort of your own home.
Register here in advance, because you won’t want to miss the Interfaith Panel at 12 noon.  Or, invite the grandkids over for Story Time with the Tooth Fairy at 11 am or the rebroadcast Pride Speaks speakers on homelessness, health care, business, and youth throughout the day.  This is a rare opportunity, so don't pass it up!
Groceries for Families in Need
For 15+ months members of our congregation have been supporting 8 – 12 families in Bellevue who needed a little help to make it through the pandemic through Jubilee Reach.  From a max of 750, Jubilee Reach has narrowed the number of families needing help now down to 200 families.  There are four ways you could be an important part of this program:
  • Buy a set list of staples for a family, at about $25/week through December.  Shop yourself, or provide the funding and we’ll shop for you!
  • Buy a set list of perishables (ground beef, OJ, cheese, and butter) for a family, through December
  • Choose to buy some produce every week or occasionally by signing up here OR
  • Volunteer to help, Tuesdays from 9 am – 12 noon at Jubilee Reach by signing up here.
 Email Laurie for more information.
Preschoolers Appreciate our Garden!
Now we're thinning lettuce.  Since I weed after work on Thursdays, the preschool kids walk past with their parents on the way home.  They are fascinated by the garden, and all have been thrilled with the lettuce I need to thin, the thinnings from which end up in their hands for salad at home!  They love shaking off the root balls from the scrawny heads.  Thinning the lettuce will make it possible for the other heads to get nice and full!  Come by some day and help thin lettuce!

Lectio Divina
Mondays from 4 - 5:30
Join
here. Lectio Divina is a contemplative method of reading the Bible with ‘the ear of the heart’ so as to be transformed, more than simply informed, by the text. We hope this group will help us focus on how the Bible can help to navigate this cultural moment and uplift us with needed hope in this season of upheaval.
