GT Marriage Tune Up: June 25 - 26, 2021

Our Growing Together: Marriage Tune Up weekend will focus on how to grow in unity in our marriages. We will be offering several tracks that help address different issues in marriage. As many of you know, on June 15th, significant changes were made to the Los Angeles County Health Officer Order in light of the re-opening of our State. As mentioned during the Elder Update this past Sunday, your Elder Team began discussions following the release of the updated Order, and we have agreed to incorporate the following changes in our operations as a ministry:

- Faith Community Church, in accordance with the Los Angeles County Health Officer Order dated June 15th, is no longer subject to any capacity limits or physical distancing requirements. Therefore, feel free to sit next to one another and continue to warmly welcome one another!

- Further, Faith Community Church will no longer require all those who enter our building to be masked. For the newest official guidelines in these matters, please refer to Section 4 (a—d) in the latest Health Office Order, available here on the LA County DPH website.

- Lastly, Faith Community Church will not require verification of vaccination.

Let’s praise the Lord as our State reopens and our ministry continues to expand!

NEW Super Summer Events!

We are excited to announce a summer packed full of exciting events for the entire family! Below are the remaining events planned for June. Look for new July events next week. Growing Together Marriage Tune Up

Super Summer Kids
This will be our 2021 summer program. We'll learn about God's power, love, creativity, wisdom, and more as He has displayed these attributes from creation to the cross.

FSM Super Summer Summit
Sign-ups have begun on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings for our 2021 Summer Camp that will take place at TMU. Cost is $190. Contact Laurie for more details.

Save the Date: Annual Church Business Meeting - Sunday, June 27, 2021

In one week following our 10:45 a.m. Worship Gathering, Members of Faith Community Church will vote on the proposed 2021—2022 Annual Budget and Elder & Deacon/Deaconess candidates. We need as many Members present as possible to achieve quorum for the Meeting. Our Annual Reports (including the Budget and a Sample Ballot) will be available this Sunday, June 20th, in the Foyer. We ask that you take one per family. You can also access the Annual Report online by clicking here. To request a copy of the Sample Ballot, or an Official Absentee Ballot for the June 27th Meeting, call the Church Office at 661.259.1741, or e-mail Pastor Jeff Howell.

We also welcome you to join our Spanish Worship Gathering downstairs in the Rooms A8/A9 at 11:00 a.m. For those who are unable to join us in person, we will be live streaming both services and posting them online for continued viewing immediately afterward. If you plan on joining us on Sunday, you will want to access our Digital Worship Folder to see all the announcements, song lyrics, and sermon notes. This can be accessed on the church website by clicking here or on the Church Center App and will be available by 7:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. We will also have a QR Code at our Sunday morning Worship Gathering which can be scanned to bring up the Digital Worship Folder when you arrive.

Adult Growth Group - June 20, 2021 @ 9:00 a.m.

Our Adult Growth Group at 9:00 a.m. in Room A6 has been mining the Psalms for vivid reminders of God's power, presence, and peace. Please join us for thoughtful expositions and invigorating discussions. We dig into a fresh psalm every week, so it's always a good time to come and get involved. Hope to see you there!

SCVPC Baby Bottle Boomerang Ends Sunday!

The SCV Pregnancy Center’s annual Baby Bottle Boomerang concludes this Sunday at Faith. Please return all filled bottles to the Foyer this Sunday morning. Thank you for your support of this worthy ministry that helps women in crisis pregnancies.

Children's Ministries - Now Hiring!

Have You Been Baptized as a Believer?

If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ but have not yet been baptized, we encourage you to participate in our next Believer's Baptism Service scheduled for July 11th during our All-Church Lunch. Please mark “Believer's Baptism,” on Sunday's “L.K.i.T.” to receive more information about our required Baptism Class on Tuesday, June 29th at 6:30 p.m.

Mercy Ministry Update from Brian Jones

We understand that some of you are still facing difficult times. If you are facing a financial need but have been reluctant to ask for help because you think another needs it more, please reconsider. Our Mercy Fund has Walmart gift cards, Target gift cards, and Arco fuel cards. Financial assistance is also available to help with payments or bills. Thank you for continuing to give to the ministry here at Faith! We have three convenient ways of receiving your support for the Lord's work. One way is through online giving. You can also deposit your giving on Sunday mornings in one of the locking offering boxes at the rear of the Sanctuary. Lastly, you can mail your giving to the Church Office.
