Dear fellow EU citizen,
The EU Settlement Scheme deadline is quickly approaching in just under 2 weeks.
The 30th of June 2021 is a significant day for EU citizens. Many of us will feel worried for the EU citizens who are left behind the scheme and who will struggle to access their rights after the deadline. Some of us will still be concerned about our own situation, such as the lack of physical proof of status.
The fight is not over. Around this time 5 years ago, the3million was an idea to bring EU citizens together. It is now the largest organisation for EU citizens in the UK, working tirelessly to campaign for our citizens' rights.
We are marking the deadline day with a webinar organised in partnership with our friends from the In Limbo Project. Please register on Eventbrite for the Zoom webinar, 7-8.30 pm, Wednesday 30 June.
You will first hear from Elena Remigi, Founder and Director of the In Limbo Project, who will then introduce 6 EU citizens sharing their testimonies.
The second part of the event will be a panel discussion with Luke Piper (Head of Policy, the3million), Dr Olivia Vicol (CEO, Work Rights Centre) and Aluna Lepadatu (Communications Officer, Luton Roma Trust). They will speak about the policy landscape for EU citizens as well as practical suggestions on how you can support the campaigns on EU citizens' rights - including our current the3million #ProofEqualityNow campaign.
You'll have an opportunity to ask live questions and share your own thoughts on the EU Settlement Scheme deadline day.
