Dear <<First Name>>,

Over the past week, I've made three flight reservations to visit with family we haven't seen, other than over Zoom, in over a year. Clearly, making up for lost time!

And last weekend, we had dinner with a group of friends. We honored our host with $10 lottery tickets because he won the bet that we made months ago on when we'd see each other again face-to-face. We sat at a table for hours and laughed the evening away. While respectful that much of the world has a way to go, this taste of “normalcy” has been energizing.

On the client front, there's a lot of uncertainty around how this new normal is going to play out. As new, post-pandemic "work from home" policies are developed and rolled out, leaders are forced to confront their own biases about in-office and remote work. Some are concerned about employee retention if they don't get it right. On the flip side, employees are contemplating what it means to spend hours in their car commuting again (when they could be exercising or spending more time with their families).

If ever there was a scenario ripe for practicing change management skills as a leader, now would be the time. Read on for ways to embrace the opportunity to lead your organization's transformation and be a catalyst for change.

Be well!

Catalyst for Change

The magnitude and frequency of change over the past year has been daunting, testing even the most competent leaders. While many were able to right the ship (especially in those organizations amenable to eCommerce and Zoom), few leaders would qualify the last year as one in which their teams and organizations thrived.

As organizations begin to shift their attention to a post-pandemic life, there is a unique opportunity to invite fresh thinking, and to transform — or at least, challenge — the status quo. Read on.
