CREATIVE LABS ARE BACK!
Mon 9 Aug 10am-12noon & Thur 19 Aug 2pm-4pm
In order to help ease ourselves back into dancing together again and drawing inspiration from practices that emerged during lockdown, the format will be a little different. The 1st hour of the session will be an open practice time, where a prepared playlist will run continuously offering up an audio impetus to move (or remain still!) individually, finding our bodies in the space. The 2nd hour will offer a chance to progress to more explicitly collaborative explorations, prompted by ideas brought in by participants, as our previous creative labs did.
In order to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe,
the ODF steering group takes the view that limiting the number of in-person participants and continuing to respect social distancing is a reasonable stance, and so the number of in-person participants is capped to 6, and unfortunately, contact work cannot be on the menu (yet!).
Joining remotely via Zoom is also offered as an option.
ODF Creative Labs are free to attend for ODF members.
Dance artists who are ODF affiliates or non-members are also welcome, and are kindly asked to contribute what they can (recommended: £5)
In person and zoom places must be booked in advance.
Segolene Tarte is kindly lending ODF use of her online booking system for the Creative Labs so we can keep track of attendees: book here
If you are interested but cannot attend at these times then please let us know and we can look at scheduling a further option or altering the time of one of these.
BREATHING SPACE/DISCOUNT AT OFS
Any ODF member who has not taken up our Breathing Space offer should get in touch, if you've already used your allocation you can still book studio space at the heavily discounted rate of £10 per hour (minimum 3 hour booking) at the OFS from now until 28 August. Please contact Chris Michael at OFS to book.
Other venues for hire - ARK - T Centre in Cowley
Has several spaces suitable for dance classes/rehearsals and have very reasonable rates are willing to offer ODF members a discount where they can.
Check out their rates/room info and contact them here
