Dear <<First Name>>,
As I sit here writing to you our little town of Kandern continues to heat up. The forecast is looking to be 90 F today! In five short days, we will be boarding a plane in Frankfurt to return to Oregon/Washington for six weeks. We are excited for everyone to meet Margaret! She is quite a bundle of joy.
We quietly closed out the school year with a limited guest graduation ceremony. We were thankful to be able to attend and celebrate so many wonderful students. Since then, we have been packing up our apartment to move across town. As well as saying our goodbyes to co-workers that are leaving, graduates that head off to university, and packing for summer travels.
Phew! We almost can't catch a break! We are thankful to the God of all comfort. Who comforts us and calls us to be still and know. My hope is that through this busy time, we (and you!) get moments to be still with our Creator God.
A few highlights from the last 2 months
Margot continues to grow and is becoming such a fun little lady! She constantly wants to be upright, entertained, and laughing! We celebrated her five months on May 26th and she quickly approaches six months!
Caleb and his small group at graduation. These dear brothers will always have a special part in his heart! He is thankful to the Lord for allowing him to do life with them and continue to point them to Jesus.
Maria has been incredible in her work to make sure there is an AP art show this year!
There were three students that took this course and worked hard all year. Their works and ideas were fascinating!
Caleb was able to host seniors, alumni, and staff for final end of the year games! We had a boys and girls volleyball game, a 5km run, and a staff/alumni vs senior soccer game. It was SO great to be able to have sports again! This was super special for the senior athletes. Especially for soccer since we haven't had spring sports for two years!
We are moving!
With the addition of Margot to our family, we have decided to move out of our one bedroom apartment and look for a bigger space.
We are incredibly thankful to have found an apartment RIGHT next to the school! We are packing up our house before flying to the USA and moving in when we return to Germany.
We thank you for your continued support that allows us to afford a larger apartment!
Prayer and Praise Column
Please pray with us as we travel to Frankfurt on Sunday, and USA on Monday. This is Margot's first time traveling and we are not sure how she will take it.
Pray for our seniors as they just wrapped up their high school education. Pray the Lord will guide them wherever they go.
Praise Him for being able to have things like the senior games Caleb was in charge of!
Praise Him for a great year for Maria finishing out with her AP art students!
Praise God for ZERO covid cases at Black Forest Academy these past few months leading up to graduation. We are thankful to be able to finish out the year well!
