E-bulletin - 18th June 2021

Race Equality Forum

No one in Cornwall should be subject to abuse and discrimination because of their ethnicity. You can get involved in tackling race inequality by joining Cornwall’s One and All Race Equality Forum. The next online meeting takes place on 24th June at 6pm.

We’re facilitating the Forum, which builds on last year’s work by the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Steering Group. The Forum aims to take forward race equality in Cornwall in a new, more inclusive way. Everyone who wants to work together to bring about positive change is welcome.

The first session in February saw over 150 people join in to discuss how the Forum could work and what its priorities should be. Afterwards people were asked how they would like to be further involved. Some agreed to be part of the Race Equality Core Group, which has since met twice to discuss how the Core Group and the Forum will work together.

Visit the Let’s Talk Cornwall website to sign up for the One and All Race Equality Forum and find out about the work that has taken place so far.
