Collection MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS |
|
Update |
In 2020 a government procurement was published to find a supplier for the collection management systems of the libraries and the archives of the Rubenianum and other institutions of the city of Antwerp.
- The Rubenianum library will continue working together with the University of Antwerp (UA), the developer of Brocade Library Services: a web-based library information management system that uses open-source components. To further the development of the software, we are closely working together with UA's development team Anet, our IT-partner Digipolis, as well as with the Heritage Library Hendrik Conscience, and the libraries of the Museum Plantin-Moretus, the Middelheim Museum and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
- For the archives, 2021 is a transition year: the Rubenianum's digital archival descriptions will migrate to a new platform developed by Delving BV. This new platform will be structured with the open-source, web-based applications ArchivesSpace and Arches. We are partnered with Digipolis, the Letterenhuis and the Museum Plantin-Moretus. Completion is expected by autumn 2022.
