Hi Parents,

Half the year has gone now for 2021 and the kids have been studying at home mostly. There are hints that online studies may go on for a little while longer.

The national recovery plan estimates that in September and October 2021, restrictions are to be eased gradually for social, educational and sports activities provided certain conditions are met. Meanwhile SPM 2021 has been postponed to February and March 2022. It suggests that we have to be prepared for home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) for the long haul with exam students returning to school first.

It was reported that the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) has agreed to the Education Ministry's proposal that students sitting for major examinations this year be given the priority to be vaccinated and Form Five students may get their first dose of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine as early as July.

While we wait to see how that all pans out, let's continue to support online learning.

- Read up on on how to keep your child safe online
- Find out how schools are managing seamless online and physical education during this zoom meeting on selecting secondary schools

Whatever it may be, whether PdPR or physical school, our children need our support to thrive in any environment.
