Family Fun Day at First UMC
Saturday, July 10
10:00 am to 3:00 pm

 
First United Methodist Church is partnering with local churches to host a Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 10 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event will be held in the First UMC parking lot and feature food, a bake sale, corn hole, children's activities, and more.

FPC is one of the partner churches for this event. Baked goods are needed for the bake sale, with proceeds to be shared among the partnering churches. To help provide baked goods, please contact Barb Latham: 419-651-3559.

First UMC is located at 220 Sandusky Street, with their main parking lot off Cottage Street.

Sunday, July 11
Plan to arrive at 4:00 pm; we'll eat at 5:00 pm.

 
Hot dogs, brats, bottled water, and table settings will be provided.

Bring a side dish or dessert if you are able.

 
RSVP to Peggy Yoder (419-496-7569) or the church office (419-289-6205) if you plan to attend so we can get an approximate count. Hope to see you there!
Family Fun Day
Saturday, July 17

Plan to join us for Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 17 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Come for sprinklers, a slip-and-slide, crafts, and food! The event will be held at 1360 Center Lane Drive.
Ice Cream Social
Sunday, July 25

Deacons will host an ice cream social after worship on Sunday, July 25 in the lounge. Plan to stay for ice cream sundaes and fellowship!
Church News
PB&J Update:
Huge thanks to all who helped ASSOCIATED CHARITIES stock up on peanut butter and jelly for summer lunches! 47 jars have been delivered to their food bank. If you missed the deadline, you may still leave jars in the church office box!

Compassion News:
Compassion International's Global Impact Report shares the powerful news that FPC was one of 1,747 churches that hosted Compassion Sunday events. 5,710 new children have been sponsored as a result of these events.


Deacon Ministry:
Deacons are available to help church members with practical needs, including mulch-laying and weeding, disposing of unwanted items, and basic home help. Contact the church office to make a request: 419-289-6205 or office@ashlandfpc.org. Deacons will then be contacted with the request and provide assistance. The group is open to other suggestions based on the needs of our congregation. Please reach out!

Jeans and Sneakers:
Jeans are the most needed back-to-school clothing item, especially sizes 6-14 for both girls and boys. Evangelism and Outreach will match each new pair of jeans brought to the church for ASSOCIATED CHARITIES.

Save your sneakers for a fundraiser to benefit CASA – COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES. No matter how worn out, bring worn athletic shoes to the church office!
