Love to walk in nature, under a cool canopy of trees, next to a free flowing creek? Want to see ideas for the possibility of trails in your neighborhood park? At the end of the NH Scott Community Workday on June 12, we decided it would be a great idea to tour some other DeKalb parks who have cleaned out their creeks and woods. And we want to open this up to anyone who wants to join us!
Meet me this Saturday at two of my favorite local DeKalb parks with nature trails and creeks, Deepdene and Zonolite, to walk the wooded trails and talk with park leaders about how they have worked with the county, volunteers, and nonprofits to create these natural oases in the city. And at Zonolite, we will also see the Nickel Bottom Community Garden.
Wear sturdy shoes, bring your own water bottle and snacks, and for the adventurous, be prepared for some cool wading in the creeks!
Sign up HERE so we know to expect you.
