"Live" & hybrid-digital Shabbat with
R. David and the Band

Friday, July 9, at 7:30pm

With gratitude and awareness, it's time for TBE to take a first step toward re-opening. We'll begin this Friday with Kabbalat Shabbat, complete with the Band.

For this first "back to shul" Shabbat, all onsite participants must present either their covid vaccination card or a photographic (paper or digital) copy. This policy will guarantee everyone's vaccination status in the building. Based on this 100% vaccination guarantee, masks will be optional. Adjustments also will be made to the oneg, including liberal availability of hand sanitizer, for added protection.

Members and friends, including everyone who is not yet fully vaccinated,
are warmly welcome to join digitally in our regular Friday zoom room:

About Public Health Protections

As public health conditions evolve, TBE will adapt our health policy. TBE anticipates that the outdoor setting for Shabbat by the Sea on July 23 (at the Morris Yacht Club on City Island) will allow us to relax public health policy. In case of inclement weather, we'll be indoors at the Morris, whose larger space will allow us to safely welcome unvaccinated participants who are masked.

In the spirit of the Jewish value of pikuach nefesh, we continue to encourage everyone to obtain covid-19 vaccinations – for their own health and safety, and for the health and safety of our community. Thank you for this important contribution to health of TBE and the broader New York region.

Morris Yacht Club
City Island, New York

TBE is delighted to announce that we'll be at the spacious and beautiful
Morris Yacht Club for Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur.  Ample parking will be available at the Morris, with accessible bathrooms for all.

For members and friends unable to be onsite, a digital option will be available.

Everyone will be 100% online for Erev Rosh Hashanah's seder-style celebration (from the comfort of home, avoiding Labor Day traffic) and Shabbat Shuvah (between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur).

Stay tuned for more information, Book of Remembrance listing instructions, and sponsorship/tzedakah opportunities.  For now, begin inviting family and friends to join us – onsite and online – for our Days of Awe 5782.  Here we go!
