SUNDAY ROOFTOP BRUNCH
Sacred Heart Church Rectory
Sunday, August 1 following 11:30 a.m. Mass

You are cordially invited for Sunday brunch with the priests of St. Jude Parish on the rooftop patio of Sacred Heart rectory! Meet the priests and mingle with other young adults of the parish. Please RSVP using the form linked below by July 25th to allow us to plan and prepare food. We hope to see you there!

SMALL GROUP SUMMER BOOK CLUB
Tuesdays at 7 p.m. starting July 6 | Sacred Heart

It's not to late to join in the small group summer reading discussion! We're reading the popular book He Leadeth Me by Fr. Walter Ciszek, SJ. To better accommodate busy summer schedules, there will be the only topic and  one meeting time for the group. We will break into smaller discussion groups each evening. The discussion groups may change based on those able to attend each week. For questions or more info, contact youngadults@saintjudepgh.org.

Ongoing Events

Looking for a way to meet other young adults in our parish and neighborhood? Meet up during one of our ongoing events. Following Mass, look for us at the entrance of the church.

  • Wednesday Mass & Social | St. Raphael Church - Join us for Wednesday evening Mass at St. Raphael Church followed by a social meetup with either a bonfire or outing. Rosary starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 7:00 p.m.
  • 2nd & 4th Sunday Brunch | Sacred Heart Church - Following 9:00 a.m. Mass on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, meetup with other young adults to walk to S. Highland Ave. for brunch at The Urban Tap at 10 a.m.

Donate to the Parish Festival Book Sale!
Just about anything you can read, watch, listen to, or play can be donated for the Parish Festival Book Sale. We accept books, magazines, games, puzzles, record albums, CDs, cassette tapes, DVDs, VHS tapes, and even 8track tapes. Donations can be dropped off at Gallagher Hall at the Saint Raphael’s campus Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Saturdays July 10 or 24 from 10 a.m. to Noon.

St. Jude Garden Club
Saint Jude Parish would like to invite all green thumbs to consider using your love of nature as part of the Saint Jude Garden Club! Nurture and beautify your own section of the garden on our church grounds, and add your own personal touches. We’ll supply the flowers, you supply the talent! If you are interested, please call Fr. Joe at4126610187 ext. 212.

Call for Volunteers:
Children's Summer Camp at Sacred Heart

The Sisters of the Merciful Jesus (who live at St. Raphael) are hosting a children's summer camp this August at Sacred Heart. They are looking for volunteers to help with meals and snacks, activities, and keeping an eye on the children. The camp is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on August 9-13. If interested, email youngadults@saintjudepgh.org or reply to the thread in Slack.

Theology on Tap
Monday, July 12 at 7 p.m. | McFadden's

Oakland Young Adult Ministry at St. Paul Cathedral Parish presents Theology on Tap on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 7 p.m. at McFadden's at 211 North Shore Drive. The topic is "Shift Happens: How to Stay in Gear with Jesus." Speakers include Bishop David J. Bonnar and Darcy Osby. Open to young adults ages 21-39. Suggested donation of $5.
