KAREN EARL | CEO, Jenesse Center*
*2020 and 2016 My LA2050 Grants Challenge Winner
My favorite Los Angeles places and spaces...
PLAY: Adon is five! He's my nephew full of joy, running in the Fox Hills Park, acting and dancing throughout Los Angeles with a loving, intentional mom. May he forever be free – Black Boy Joy!
CREATE: With a blank canvas, working with Jenesse Center's AMAZING board, staff, and partners to envision and actualize love for families in our South Los Angeles community.
CONNECT: Where would I be without those who stand with me on this journey? Heroes and Partners from communities throughout the region including: South Los Angeles, Carson, Beverly Hills, Compton, Gardena, Downtown – all working with Jenesse to save the world!
LEARN: Jenesse is a proud member of the Culturally Responsive Domestic Violence Network lifting up marginalized communities, especially in South Los Angeles – Bringing issues AND solutions to the forefront.
LIVE: Walking trails with my fabulous nieces, LiLi and Aja - We love Kenneth Hahn Park and Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook. Such healing spaces! Then lunch at Manuela in Downtown LA!
Follow @LA2050 on Instagram to see a new Fave Five post every Friday from an impactful Angeleno.
