Hello again

First and foremost we hope this message finds you and those close to you fine and well.

The Project is looking forward to normal service being resumed in the very near future, subject to any further deviations from the ‘Roadmap’. There are positive signs from our main hirers – Scouts and Guides, pointing towards resumption of ‘overnights’ again.

We have already been involved with 2 schools – the local Braunston Primary School and St. Nicholas School, Canterbury - who have both managed their ‘Covid’ Risk Assessment compliance. Further enquiries are anticipated at the final end of Lockdown - see below on how you can get in touch and book with us for either this autumn or 2022 (or even 2023!)

We have supplemented the lack of normal ‘boat-hire’ income with many applications to donors who are prepared to help charities such as ours during these financially difficult times. Our boats have been made available to CCBM holders who are Project Members and their family ‘Bubbles’, which has also helped with our finances.

Opportunity was taken for the scheduled boat repainting to be completed without the normal interruption to our hiring activities. They are looking very smart with new signage and the 40th Anniversary logo transfers now in place.

Here's hoping we can all finally get back to enjoying our boats and canals with you in the coming weeks and months.

Best wishes,

Peter Page
