Making History and New Partners

Dear <<First Name>>

Hyundai-ANRA Ink Partnership. The Urban Air Mobility Division of Hyundai Motor Group and ANRA Technologies launched a partnership to develop an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) air traffic operating environment. As part of the partnership, ANRA will provide strategic insight on Hyundai’s concept of operations (ConOps) for AAM airspace management and ground mobility integration. The two companies will also identify research opportunities to help inform regulatory decisions and advance infrastructure projects. SmartSkies microservices architecture enables AAM airspace management for urban air mobility aircraft to easily scale and adapt to any region in the world. Today, SmartSkies is the only airspace solution providing commercial AAM services for both NASA and European Union/EASA AAM initiatives.

Making Aviation History in India. ANRA and Swiggy made history by launching the first approved BVLOS flight in India.  Stakeholders from the India Ministry of Defense (MoD), Directorate General of Aviation (DGCA), and Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA), awarded final clearances for the ANRA Technologies led consortia to commence trials for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations in India. Months of planning that included risk assessments, air traffic control integration, training, and equipment preparation culminated with ANRA’s flight team launching its first sortie on June 16, 2021. For the next several weeks, the flight team will conduct BVLOS food and medical package deliveries in the Etah and Rupnagar districts using ANRA SmartSkies technology.

FAA ARC for BVLOS. ANRA was invited to join the FAA's UAS BVLOS Operations Aviation Rulemaking Committee. This is an exciting opportunity for ANRA to contribute to and shape the future of unmanned aircraft integration into the United States’ National Airspace System (NAS). The FAA is establishing this new committee of external stakeholders to make recommendations to the agency for regulatory requirements that will enable safe, compliant and routine BVLOS UAS operations at scale. Participation on this ARC is by invitation-only.

Open Access UTM in the UK. ANRA Technologies concluded a United Kingdom engagement with Connected Places Catapult (CPC) in a Department for Transport (DfT) sponsored project to research UAS Traffic Management (UTM) solutions. CPC, in collaboration with the DfT, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and industry stakeholders have developed a national UTM framework called Open-Access UTM (OUTM).  Since 2018, ANRA has participated in workshops, technical specifications development, and architectural design work that ultimately led to deployment of our SmartSkies airspace management platform to support OUTM simulated and live flight trials in February 2021. ANRA is proud to have been one of the only entities that have been engaged in all three phases of the project since its inception.

India COVID Fund Update.  In our last newsletter we announced ANRA partnered with the American India Foundation (AIF) to create a fund that allowed ANRA to match every donated dollar. ANRA was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you for the generous and kind donations that were put towards the fight against COVID in India.

Blue Skies,
Your ANRA Team
