South-South Knowledge Sharing at the High Level Political Form 2021
United Nations for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) and its partners will be hosting various side-events at the 2021 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) that will be streamed via South-South Galaxy.

On 7 July 2021, UNOSSC, in collaboration with the Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS), will jointly launch a special edition of good practices publication titled “Good Practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development in SIDS- Advancing SAMOA Pathway and Achieving Sustainable Recovery”. The aim of the publication is to facilitate and promote peer learning and collective efforts among SIDS and their development partners in addressing SIDS special development challenges and building resilience.
Followed by the formal launch of the publication at the side-event, representatives from the SIDS countries will be invited to present selected good practices from the publication to share their success stories, and experiences. Learn more and join the event.

The side-event on 12 July 2021, SSC for More Inclusive and Sustainable Social Protection Systems in the COVID-19 Recovery and Achievement of the 2030 Agenda, organized by UNOSSC and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), draws focus on the potential of intra and inter-regional SSC in advancing more inclusive and sustainable social protection systems in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis and during the Decade of Action, and discuss social protection in the Arab region as a structural entry point for poverty alleviation, reduction of inequality, and building resilience of individuals and societies.
This event will bring together a number of national and regional actors from the Arab region and beyond, including policy makers, experts and civil society representatives to showcase and discuss reforms in social protections systems, and how the success and achievements can be strengthened and transferred. On 14 July 2021, on the occasion of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum, the Presidential Agency for International Cooperation of Colombia (APC-Colombia) and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) are jointly organizing a side-event on the Digitalization of Knowledge Platforms: a tool for recovery in the Decade of Action.
The event aims to highlight various digitalization initiatives for knowledge sharing and generate a space for dialogue about the contributions of South-South Cooperation to the digitalization of knowledge management in the post-pandemic recovery, to accelerate progress in the decade of action toward the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
The event will be in the format of a discussion panel and will feature the presentation of APC-Colombia's South-South Cooperation Knowledge Hub. Learn more and join the event.

Following learning exchanges with Colombia on experiences with responses to internal displacement, and with technical assistance from UNHCR, Honduran officials replicated the services for care to victims of displacement with adjustments for the local context and various justice officials expanded their knowledge on how to handle possible requests for future land/housing restitution cases. Supported by UNFPA, Thailand South-South Cooperation Solution Hub launched as a platform for sharing and exchanging good practices among countries with a high maternal mortality developed an interactive online platform in 2020 to enable virtual participation during the pandemic, also including COVID-19 in course content as one of the preventable maternal death conditions.
