Happy Thursday Friends and Happy Birthday America!

Our nation has certainly had a tough year this year dealing with the virus and an election that has brought even further division. In spite of this, we are still blessed and privileged to live in the greatest nation in the world! The freedoms that we have in America should not be taken for granted though as I often do. As we enjoy celebrating America this weekend with family and friends, let’s take time to thank Jesus for the true and ultimate freedom that we have through Him. Join us for our annual GraceLife Kids Lake Day at Claytor Lake State Park! We invite all GraceLife Kids (Babies through 5th Grade) and their families to join us on July 28th beginning at 11 am. The cost is $5 per person or $15 max for families to cover the parking and swimming. Register your family to join us, it will be a blast!

I grew up in the middle of Michael Jordan's peak in the NBA. On the playgrounds, I can remember everyone wanting to "be like Mike." It is amazing how our actions can influence generations. You do not have to be the greatest basketball player. The manner in which we praise will impact the next generation of church leaders. I encourage you this week to take ownership of your praise. Ask yourself the question, "does the way I praise and worship, how I live influence people to want to follow Christ, or does it express something other than what's in my heart. Worship is an expression of our love for God. This week during our time of praise and worship, we will be singing these songs to help us express His praise. One is new, and I pray it impacts you this week.
